What's the best way to tell a guy I like them?

I've been talking to this guy on BBM for a couple weeks and we've known each other for a while but I've only recently started seeing him as more than a friend since we've become a bit closer. How can I hint that I like him without being obvious? Also, I don't want to come across as annoying! Help please.
