Help me!! Jerk ex boyfriend?

I've been talking to this guy overseas for 4 months and he's related to my family (through marriage) and about two days ago we ended it. Instead of telling me, he called my mom and told her what happened and how he felt about the relationship. Since then, my mom has been very mad at me because she only wants me to be with him! She makes me feel bad by saying 'He's the best thing that's ever happened to you!!' and other stuff. My mom now barley talks to me, she also told me to not remove him off BBM or fb so I can't delete him. I got rid of our relationship status and I blocked him off everything on fb. It really hurts because he never told ME how he felt, instead he told my mom and basically ruined the relationship. ALSO, I'm going to visit his house in 9 days, because I wanted to go overseas to meet him (before we broke up) what should I do about him, should I get back together with him? What should I do about my mom? Help me!!
